Fritz Pahlmann english
Fritz Pahlmann got his first lessons of horn at the age of 9 with teacher/composer A. Kummerlaender in Rottweil, and subsequently won several prizes in the German national youth competition "Jugend Musiziert". He later studied in Trossingen with Prof. Orval, and with Prof. Dallmann at the UdK in Berlin.
A list of orchestras Fritz worked with as principal horn includes Staatskapelle Weimar, Antwerp Filharmonie, Munich Philharmonic, Staatsoper München, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Harmonien Bergen and others.
He performed as soloist with Staatskapelle Weimar and Philharmonie Magdeburg.
Furthermore, Fritz, as member of the „ensemble 4.1“ and individually, is internationally active as a chamber musician.
He lives in Norway, trying to catch fish and to enjoy friendly life in general.
